The Echo Technologist will also assist with other non-invasive diagnostic cardiac procedures, including 12-lead ECG's, signal-averaged ECG's, cardiac holter monitors, cardiac event monitors, and ambulatory blood pressure monitors. In accordance with hospital policy and the SDMS Scope of Practice for the Diagnositic Ultrasound Professional �, the Echo Technologist will "perform patient (evaluations); acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies; provide a summary of findings to the cardiologist to aid in patient diagnosis and management; use independent judgement and systematic problem solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care." Performs other related patient care and non-patient care duties. Night and weekend call is required.
